Worry reverses this verse — it seeks first the things (provision, security, approval) and hopes God gets the leftovers. Jesus flips the order: put His kingdom first, and the rest gets “added.” This is not neglect of responsibility; it is right ordering of loves. Audit your day: what are you seeking first? Reorder one thing today, and watch God add what you need.
Seek Ye First
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Father, forgive my misplaced priorities. Today I seek Your kingdom first, trusting You to provide all I need. Amen.
