Jeremiah wrote these words from the ruins of Jerusalem — yet they sing with hope. God's mercy is not a reservoir that runs dry; it is a sunrise that returns. Whatever yesterday held — failure, fear, or regret — this morning arrives with a fresh supply of compassion. You do not have to earn today. You only have to receive it. Begin this day the way God begins it: with mercy.
New Mercies Every Morning
It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Faithful Father, thank You that Your mercies are new this morning. Wash away yesterday and fill today with Your compassion. Amen.
