Come Unto Me

Matthew 11:28
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Jesus does not invite the qualified; He invites the weary. Labour and heavy burdens are the only admission tickets, and you already hold one. Notice He does not first say “try harder” or “clean up” — He says “come.” Rest is not found in a lighter schedule but in a nearer Saviour. Bring Him your heaviest load today, exactly as it is.

A prayer for today

Jesus, I am weary and heavy laden. I come to You now. Give me Your rest — deep, soul-level rest. Amen.

The Purpose

Why 366 Days exists

To help you meet with God every single day of the year — all 365 of them, and the 366th in a leap year too.

So many believers want a consistent walk with God but don’t know where to start each morning. 366 Days removes that barrier. Every day you will find a Scripture verse, a short reflection, and a prayer — a complete devotional in just a few minutes, designed to anchor your heart before the day begins.

  • Point you to Scripture — God’s Word, not man’s opinion, is the foundation of every reading.
  • Speak to real life — faith for Mondays, not just Sundays: work, family, fear, decisions, joy.
  • Lead you to prayer — every devotional ends by turning your heart toward God.
About

A daily devotional ministry

What began as a personal habit of morning Scripture reading grew into a book — and then into this website, so anyone, anywhere, can start their day in God’s Word.

Each devotional pairs a passage of Scripture with a short, honest reflection and a closing prayer. The readings follow no complicated plan — just day 1 to day 366, meeting you wherever you are and pointing you to Christ.

What we believe: The Bible is the inspired, trustworthy Word of God · Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone · Every believer can hear from God daily through Scripture and prayer.

Foundations

What is the Word of God?

Sixty-six books, one unified story — and far more than an ancient book.

God-breathed

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God” (2 Timothy 3:16). The Bible’s ultimate Author is God Himself — which is why Scripture carries divine authority, not merely human wisdom.

Living and active

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword” (Hebrews 4:12). It convicts, comforts, corrects, and transforms.

A lamp for the journey

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (Psalm 119:105) — guiding decisions, shaping character, lighting the next step.

It points to Jesus

“They are they which testify of me” (John 5:39). From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is the story of Jesus Christ — promised, crucified, risen, and returning.

Foundations

The Invitation of God

Before He commands, He calls. Before He sends, He welcomes.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

Come as you are. “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow” (Isaiah 1:18). God does not wait for you to get clean before you come — coming is how you get clean.

Come and see. “Come and see” (John 1:39). Christianity is not a blind leap; it is an invitation to investigate — to open the Gospels and taste and see that the Lord is good.

The invitation still stands. “Whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely” (Revelation 22:17). Whosoever — that includes you, right now.

Foundations

The Gospel of God

“Gospel” means good news — and it is the best news ever told.

We all need it. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

Sin has a price. “The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

Christ paid it. “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). He lived the perfect life we couldn’t live and died the death we deserved.

We receive it by faith. “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13). If you have never trusted Christ, you can right now — pray: “Lord Jesus, I admit I am a sinner and I need You. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I trust You as my Saviour and Lord. Amen.”

Practice

Suggestions for Spending Daily Time with God

A simple, sustainable rhythm for meeting with God every day.

1. Set a time and place. Mornings work best for most people. Choose a consistent time and a quiet spot — even 15 minutes, daily, will change your life.

2. Read today’s devotional. Read the Scripture slowly, twice if you can. Ask: What does this show me about God? About myself?

3. Pray — try P.R.A.Y. Praise · Repent · Ask · Yield.

4. Write it down. Date, the verse that stood out, one sentence about what God is saying.

5. Grace over guilt. You will miss a day. Don’t quit — begin again the next morning. His mercies are new every morning.
